About Obe

Obe started the way most meaningful things do: with hunger and an obsession.

I didn’t set out to make a hot sauce. I set out to make the pepper sauce I couldn’t find—one that respected heat, but valued flavor. A complex flavor profile with intentionally simple ingredients. Something to keep reaching for.

I care deeply about craft and how ingredients behave together; their texture, aroma, and sometimes bold restraint. Every batch is inspired by the people and places that I love.

The name Obe comes from the Yoruba word for sauce or stew, which was a staple of my first generation Nigerian-American childhood.

This brand is for people who appreciate that food can be simple and beautiful.
